Celebrating the life of
Judy Lynn Lindsay
January 16, 1957 - November 05, 2025
Judy Lynn Lindsay, 68, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1957, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to the late Emmett and Flossie Strickland. Judy spent most of her life in the Savannah and Midway area, where she devoted herself to her family, her work, and the children she cared for so deeply.
For 25 years, Judy served as a paraprofessional with the Bryan County School System, where she worked with children with special needs, particularly those with autism. She was passionate about her work and left a lasting impact on every student she taught and every colleague she worked alongside. Her compassion, patience, and love made her a shining light in her community.
Judy’s greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with them, especially her cherished granddaughter. She looked forward each year to holidays in Myrtle Beach and her summer beach trips with her two sisters and her granddaughter—precious memories filled with laughter and love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kinnon Lindsay, and her parents, Emmett and Flossie Strickland.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Brandon Love; her son, Matthew Lindsay; and her beloved granddaughter, Marissa Love, who was truly the light of her life. She also leaves behind her sisters and best friends, Nancy (Richard) Drakos and Tammy (Dan) Sennema; her nephews, Richard and Jordan Drakos; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored her.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm until service time at 1:00 pm.
My sincerest condolences to Amanda, Matthew, Brandon, and Marissa. Aunt Judy was always so nice to me while I was growing up. She would often stop by my Mom's apartment to say hi and she always made sure to take time and entertain my annoying requests such as watching me play Atari or agreeing with me about how good Duran Duran's music was. In other words, she was a great Aunt. She was a kind, gentle soul and I will miss her very much.
