Celebrating the life of
Vida Martinez
July 12, 1966 - October 27, 2025
In Loving Memory of Vida (Diaz) Martinez (1966 - 2025)
Vida Martinez, most beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, 59, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on October 26, 2025, leaving a void her family and friends can never fill.
She was born in Cardenas, Matanzas, Cuba in 1966, to Eugenio and Gladys Diaz, and was raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Coral Park High School before marrying Maurice Martinez and joyfully raising a family.
Vida was a dearly devoted mother; her grandchildren especially being her pride and joy.
Vida was an integral part of both Release Marine in Savannah, and Compassion Healthcare, Inc. in Bluffton. She was also a local realtor, interior decorator and event coordinator.
She was a woman of steadfast faith, a collector of art, and a purveyor of all things beautiful. Vida brought endless amounts of joy and laughter to all that knew her. An eternal optimist, always with a helping hand and a most generous heart - she was a true blessing to this world.
Vida is survived by both of her parents, brothers Eugene and Max (Miriam) Diaz, her daughter, Aisha (Matthew) Cirincioni, and her grandchildren, all of whom will never forget the immense love she brought into their lives.
A Funeral Service is to be held at 12 pm on November 15, 2025, at Community Bible Church, with the burial service immediately following at Greenwich Cemetery.
Donations to NAMI-Savannah, Inc. (POB 13731, Savannah, GA 31416), in her name are appreciated.

Vida and I graduated from Coral Park together. She was always a great friend. She was one of the first people to reach out when my husband passed, even though we hadn't seen each other in many years. May she rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

There are souls who walk this earth radiating warmth, laughter, and light. My cousin Vida was one of them. She was a beacon of hope, a heart of gold wrapped in the gentlest smile, and a spirit that lifted everyone around her. Some of my most cherished memories are of us sitting together, talking about life, sharing advice, and letting Bob Marley's Three Little Birds remind us that "everything little thing is gonna be alright." Vida believed that and she lived it. Her joy was contagious, her laughter constant, and her love for family unwavering. She'd send me texts filled with wild crochet projects; colorful, creative, and uniquely her. That was Vida; vibrant, imaginative, and always full of heart. Her presence was a gift, and her absence leaves a space that words can't fill. I will always carry her light with me. In every smile, every song, and every stitch of love. Vida lives forever in mine and our hearts.

My heart is broken in so many pieces over the loss of Vida. She was a brilliant light in our world and in our family. She shared her joy and excitement for life with everyone, everywhere. She always brought a high level of fun to every family gathering especially when celebrating the birthdays of her beloved Grandchildren. Vida and I were Grandparents together and we were always eager to share pictures back and forth so as not to miss any of the special moments that we both cherished dearly. Our lives were greatly enriched because of Vida's unending love and devotion. My prayers are with the Diaz and Martinez families and with all of us who loved Vida, especially Aisha, Matthew, Rowan and Naia.
