Gary Lee Brantley

Gary Lee Brantley, 58, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Memorial Health.  He was born February 1, 1967, in Dublin, GA to the late Robert Edward and Geraldine Bateman Brantley.  Gary lived most of his life in Savannah, where he graduated from Jenkins High School in 1985.  He worked for Akins Construction from 1988 until 2009, and then for himself from 2009 until 2022, where he was instrumental in the construction of many homes at The Landings, Dutch Island, Palmetto Bluff at Hilton Head, Berkley Hall at Hilton Head, and The Ford Field and River Club in Richmond Hill. He was a master in his field, he was creative, and a perfectionist in the craftsmanship of cabinets, marble and stonework, and sought out by many of the old Savannah names to work on their homes.  Later in 2023, he went to work for Weimar Construction as a Project Manager. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he loved running, playing soccer, and fishing.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Brantley, and brother Tommy Brantley.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Lisa Trammell of Savannah, daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Kyle Smith of Colorado, his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Penny Brantley, his sister, Trenna Brantley, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Lilly, who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate his life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.  The visitation will be one hour prior to the service and after the service.
