Christopher B. Geriner, 64, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at his home of natural causes.
A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Chris was a graduate of Savannah High School and was an independent painting contractor. He was a member and usher at Coastal Cathedral Church of God.
Surviving are his son, Jacob B. Geriner of Savannah, currently in the Georgia National Guard; his sister, Lynn G. McAuliffe and her husband Pat of Marietta; a brother, Stuart Geriner of Albany, GA; a nephew, Kevin and two nieces, Kelli and Clara; an uncle, Richard Geriner; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Coastal Cathedral Church of God in Berwick. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances in Chris' memory be made to Coastal Cathedral Church of God, 275 Berwick Blvd, Savannah, GA 31419.

Lynn, Susan and I are so sad for your loss. Though we had not seen Chris in years, we shared a wonderful Savannah family (who will welcome him lovingly in heaven.) We also extend our sympathy to Jacob and his other relatives. I will be in touch further, but it is good to hear that Chris had a church family to offer him love and support in recent years.
