George Porter Martin died peacefully on August 27, 2025. A full obituary is pending and will be posted as soon as it is available. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Fox & Weeks Islands Chapel. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2025 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will immediately follow the service at Bonaventure cemetery.
