Celebrating the life of

Robert Hall Harvin, Jr.

September 24, 1937 - August 15, 2025

Robert Hall Harvin, Jr.

Robert Hall Harvin, Jr lived a long, full, blessed life and on Friday, August 15,2025 the good Lord called him home.

Whether you called him RH or Bob, you knew him as a man of deep faith, love for his family, strong character, a loyal friend, and always up for an adventure.

Bob was born September 24, 1937 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to Robert Hall Harvin, Sr and Elizabeth “Sparky” Sparks Harvin, He graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1955. He was known for his love of being on the water, and that love started on the Edisto River.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Given his love for his country, the water, and adventure, the Navy was the perfect fit for him and allowed him to see many parts of the world.

In 1977, Bob married Toni, the love of his life. They celebrated their 48th anniversary in July. Over the years they shared many adventures including traveling, hitting his favorite dive spots in the Caribbean, summers in the Florida Keys, and winning dance contests.

He was a loving father to Robert Hall “Bobby” Harvin, III, Barbara “Babs” Harvin Robinson (Marshall), and Robert “Blu” Harvin (Allyson). His grandchildren loved him dearly as he leaves behind Lauren Evans Stewart (Steven), Lawton Evans (Alex), Edison Kate Harvin and great grandson John Lawton Stewart. He was reunited with his beloved granddaughter Emmaline Blu Harvin, who undoubtedly jumped into his arms upon his arrival in Heaven.

Bob was a larger than life character and his friends and family are blessed to walk in the legacy left by this incredible man who truly was one of a kind. May we all live a life worthy to hear these words spoken to Bob by his Savior, “well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome home.”

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10 am at Windsor Forest Baptist Church. A funeral services will immedately follow at 11 am.

GUEST BOOK

Babs and Toni, I am sad for your earthly loss. Babs it is exceedingly hard to lose a dad and Toni, there are no words for your loss. I have many, many fond memories of RH, in my young adult years he was my shoe provider. Perhaps that is why I still love shoes. Also, His stories still ring in my ears. Hold fast to your memories and he will forever live in your hearts.

So sorry to the family for your loss. My favorite memory of Bob was him with his scuba gear diving for lobster in Key West. That man knew how to run a boat and loved being on the water. He will forever be in my memories as a kind, gentle person with a special zest for life.
