Jack M. Ryals, Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Memorial University Medical Center following a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Savannah, Jack retired from both the City of Savannah and I.L.A. 1475. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 135, the Cobra Club, and the Breakfast Group. Jack was an avid fisherman and, along with Jack Keith, his longtime fishing buddy, earned the nickname "The Pair of Jacks." He proudly served as a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Jack is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Fritts and his stepfather, Robert Fritts.

Jack is survived by Carolyn Sikes and Steven Hursey, as well as his longtime and special friend, Elaine Keith.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Metter, GA.
