Celebrating the life of
Cynthia Crane Doyle
November 08, 1952 - December 20, 2017
Cynthia Crane Doyle of Savannah passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and faithful dog, Harry, after a long bout with cancer. The 65-year-old mother of three was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Willis and Jane "Dede" Crane. Cindi graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, before attending Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, where she met her lifelong partner and loving husband, Fred A. “Freddy” Doyle Jr.
Cindi moved to Savannah more than 40 years ago where she started her family. An avid lover of travel, she focused her career in the travel industry. Over the years, she was a national sales manager at Eastern Airlines, owner of Abbey Travel, manager at SATO, and ultimately ended her travel career working at Williamsburg Travel.
To know Cindi was to know life itself. She was a force of nature, fierce friend, and most importantly, a loving wife and mother. Although a native of Ohio, there was no doubt she was a southern lady at heart. Her appetite for savoring the good times and tenacity when fighting through the thickness of hard times was inspiring to all those who knew and loved her.
A parishioner of St. James Catholic Church, Cindi is survived by her husband Fred A. Doyle Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; children Fredrick Patrick Griffen Doyle of Atlanta, Georgia, and daughter Jordan Lacey Holmes (Josh Holmes) of Savannah, Georgia; grandchildren Madden Elizabeth Holmes and Tarver Lacey Holmes of Savannah, Georgia; sister Susan Benton Crane of Ventura, California; and niece Claire Hartley of Ventura, California. Her beloved extended family includes: Carolan and Tuck Brawner of Savannah, Georgia; Griff and Sherri Doyle of Athens, Georgia; Lacey and Woody Waldhour of McDonough, Georgia; Ree Hartwell of Closter, New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Abbey Benton Doyle, and parents, Willis and Jane Crane.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 5-6 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, located at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr. in Savannah. A memorial service will be held immediately after at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

May the God of all comfort continued to strengthen the Doyle family during these most difficult times. God keeps those who have fallen asleep in death in His memory because they are precious in his eyes “Psalm 116:15” and “John 5:28,29”

I CANNOT IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT MY SISTER NOW. THERE COULD BE NO BETTER SISTER IN THE WORLD. SHE LOVED MY CHILDREN AS HER OWN. CINDI WAS ALWAYS, ALWAYS THERE F0R ME. SHE RAISED 3 BEAUTIFUL & VITAL CHILDREN; WHO SHE ADORED, AS THEY HER. HER STRENGTH ALONG WITH HER LOVING HUSBAND HELPED HER ENDURE THE LOSS OF HER FIRST BORN DAUGHTER, ABBEY BENTON DOYLE. WHEN I LOST MY SON, TRAVIS, CINDI NEVER LEFT MY SIDE. CINDI WAS MUCH MORE A MOTHER, THAN AN AUNT TO MY CHILDREN. FREDDY ADORED CINDI, AND SHE HIM. MY HEART IS BROKEN. I PRAY FOR FREDDY, PATRICK & JORDAN. CINDI WAS ONE OF A KIND. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER. CINDI'S SISTER, SUSIE CRANE

What a beautiful classy woman. I have known Aunt Cyndi from a young girl of 5. Sue and I took a trip back in 83 and it was a trip I’d never forget. Cyndi was so eloquent and smart; a career woman I’d always looked up to. I used to call her for travel advice and I always knew I was in good hands. I’m sorry for your loss of such a courageous mother and wife. I offer my condolences to the family during this sad time.

My sincere condolences to Cindy's family. Cindy was my girlfriend when we both attended Shaker Heights High School. She was a terrific friend and my parents thought the world of her. I will never forget how she hated going with me to the Led Zeppelin concert in 1969. She was a good sport to put up with music she despised. at the time. When I recall my high school days, Cindy always comes to mind. She was such a nice person that I will never forget.
