Barbara Twitchell Brosnan, born March 28, 1935, in Fort Monroe, Virginia, passed away in Savannah, Georgia, on March 3, 2025 at the age of 89.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Brosnan of Savannah, and by a large loving family from across the country, including her children, Vicki Green, Sharon Powers, Richard Wood and Christopher Wood, and by her stepchildren; Mark Brosnan and Shawn Brosnan; her brother, Richard Twitchell, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Barbara Wetherill Twitchell and Harold Hanson Twitchell as well as her sister, Judith Kautz.

Barbara was dedicated registered nurse who trained in Vermont and Virginia. In her career, she worked at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT; Brandon Training school in Brandon, VT; the DeJarnette Center in Staunton, VA; Home Care Services in Shenandoah Valley of VA; and Rappahannock Community College of Mathews, VA.

A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
