Words fail us at this very sad time. Freddie was a giant of a man. Kind in every way, generous to a fault, honest as the summer day is long. We mourn with the Anderson family. May the Father comfort you with His love and give you strength to navigate the road ahead. Our love and prayers always.
- Diane and Skip Sasser, Wilmington Island, GA
Cathy, and the entire Anderson family. Your husband\ father was a wonderful man. We were childhood friends. Then he married my blood cousin and so did Donnie, and we became family. God bless him and you. With love, Billy and Brenda Manucy

Prayers for the whole family... Freddie was an integral part of The Tybee family. He kept most of the families on Tybee in good repair with great service and great work. He has been missed since his retirement and will be even more so now. Have only seen him a couple of times lately and knew what he was going through. I pray it was not as hard as others. Kind steadfast friend for most of my 70 years here on Tybee. God Speed great friend!

We are saddened that Freddie is no longer with us here on Tybee. He was a great neighbor always ready to help. We loved seeing him at Freddie's and on the street with Little Girl. We bought his Carolina Skiff and had many years of fun on Tybee's creeks and sandbars. You will be missed Freddie. Love to Cathy and the family. Laura gave me this painting by Marianna Seyden of Freddie's circa 1945

Tybee Island has just lost one of its true icons with the passing of Fredrick (Freddie) Anderson Sr. Freddie was a very special individual who was always more than willing to offer a helping hand to anyone that was in need. He had a truly original personality that will be long remembered by those who knew him. He was highly regarded and well respected by his many friends. I hope his wife Cathy and their family know just how many people are extending to them their warm thoughts and prayers to help comfort them in this time of need. Thank You Freddie... from so many that you have touched. May you rest in eternal peace.
