Celebrating the life of
Alva "Casey" Floyd Jones
May 31, 1941 - May 22, 2025

May 31, 1941 – May 22, 2025
Alva "Casey" Floyd Jones, a proud Tybee Island native, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. He was 83 years old.
Born on May 31, 1941, Alva dedicated his life to service and community. He served honorably in the United States Navy before returning home to join the Tybee Island Police Department, where he served with dedication and distinction for over twenty years. A familiar face to many, Alva also owned and operated Casey’s Corner, a beloved local bar that brought neighbors and friends together for good times and great memories.
In his later years, Alva made his home on Wilmington Island with his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Sarah Jones. His greatest joy was his family, especially his cherished granddaughter, Peyton Jones. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his extended family of nieces, nephews, and the many friends whose lives he touched.
Alva was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Lingenfelser) Jones; his father, Floyd Jones; and his sister, Barbara Jones George.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no service or funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Human Society for Greater Savannah.
So sorry to here this. You are in my prayers.
