Celebrating the life of
Beverly B. Brown
March 06, 1950 - May 13, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Beverly Brown, who departed this life peacefully on May 13, 2025. A beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Beverly, lovingly known as Bev, touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit.
Born on March 6, 1950, Bev lived a life full of compassion, generosity, and grace. She was known for her warm smile, her nurturing heart, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether through her work, her involvement in her organizations, or her cherished role within her family, Bev dedicated herself to helping others and creating lasting bonds of love.
Bev is survived by her husband, Douglas Brown, brothers, Richard Brown (Marsha) and Eddie Jenkins (Vicki), brother-in-law, Chip Brown and family, sister-in-law, Barbara Hardie and family, sister-in-law, Cindy Brown, her favorite nieces, Melissa and Machelle, and her darling dog, Rusty. She was preceded in death by her dearest mother, Ida Canady Jenkins, father, Edgar L. Brown, and stepfather, Cleo Jenkins.
A longtime member of the American Business Women’s Association (Hostess City Chapter), Bev was deeply committed to empowering and supporting women in business. She served in many capacities over the years, including as chapter president, and was honored as Woman of the Year during her time—an achievement that reflected her leadership, integrity, and dedication to service.
One of Bev’s greatest joys was cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs. Over the years, she made countless trips to Athens—each one filled with laughter, tailgates, and treasured memories. Whether it was a crisp fall Saturday in Sanford Stadium or a road trip with family and friends to watch the Dawgs play, those weekends were a highlight of her life. She loved the traditions, the energy, and most of all, the time spent with loved ones sharing in the excitement of the game.
A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a 11:00am memorial service. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and share their memories of a truly remarkable woman. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association in Bev’s memory.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Beverly’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers donations can made to the Alzheimers Association https://www.alz.org or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org
