Celebrating the life of

Zachary Jordan Sasser

March 02, 1988 - March 17, 2025

Zachary Jordan Sasser

Zachary Jordan Sasser, 37, of Evans, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on March 17th, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. A proud father to Mallie and Davis, and husband to Brett, Zach embraced life with boundless enthusiasm and an infectious spirit.

Born and raised in Savannah, Zach was a natural at making friends—he never met a stranger. He played and excelled in most sports (football, soccer, basketball, baseball) starting with Pirates Football at age 7.   During his years at Savannah Christian Preparatory School he helped his team win the conference championship and was awarded the Back of the year and was named First team all city by the Savannah Morning News.   He earned his business degree from Georgia Southern University before continuing his education with a master’s degree from LSU. A proud member of SAE fraternity, Zach made lifelong friendships that carried through every stage of life.

Professionally, Zach thrived in business development and lean six sigma, always finding ways to improve and innovate. He relished and thrived in his professional career at Gulfstream Aerospace as a Procurement Project Manager and then Club Car as a Commodity Manager.  His true passion was on the water, behind the wheel of a golf cart with his kids, or cheering on his beloved Clemson Tigers. Whether at a football tailgate, St. Patrick’s Day parade, or an afternoon boat ride, Zach’s presence was magnetic. He was the life of the party, the guy with the best jokes, and the one who could turn an ordinary night into a legendary one.

Zach was a loyal friend, hands-on dad, and someone whose optimism could light up any room. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Zach is survived by his wife, Brett; his children Mallie and Davis; parents Dave and Becki Sasser; sisters Micah Morris and Kary Glass; father and mother-in-law Bobby and Cathy Bentley; brother-in-law Reed Bentley and his wife Cassidy; and a host of family and friends who will forever carry his spirit with them.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

For his friends in Savannah, a celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2025, 5pm to 8pm at Captain Butler's Retreat, 115 Penrose Drive, Savannah, GA  31410
