To say that Billy will be missed on tybee is an understatement. His way of saying things kept you on your toes, the way he loved to wear his hats old school way, and the glint in his eyes when he was about to give you that " gotcha" look. Billy was one of my OGs of Tybee and he was the last survivor of that old school gang. I loved him very much as did everyone that knew him. He will be missed very much. Just know how much he was loved.

- Patricia Hanson, Savanah, GA 31410

So sorry for your loss. Uncle Billy was one of a kind. Kept us laughing and always had an interesting take on things. He will be missed! Prayers for the family.

- Lisa Wilkerson- Cox (daughter of Charles Hayslip), Pooler , Ga

Billy used to come into the restaurant I worked at and he’d joke and say “It’s my birthday!” “If you just go in to a place and say it’s your birthday you get free stuff!” So every time he’d walk in, I’d throw my hands up and say “hey everybody, it’s this man’s birthday!” Such a kind soul. His memory will live on in my heart forever.
