Celebrating the life of
Noah Lee Taylor, Sr.
March 08, 1930 - February 27, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Noah Lee Taylor Sr., age 94, on February 28, 2025. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Noah passed away peacefully at his residence in Culleoka, TN.
Born on March 8, 1930, in Lambert, GA, Noah lived a life full of dedication, service, and love. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Tech Sgt. His service to his country, spanning from 1950 to 1970, was marked by courage, commitment, and honor. During his time in the Air Force, Noah had the privilege of serving as an Air Force Police Officer at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL; Pine Camp on Pine Bluff Army Base, NY; Fairfax Field, Kansas City, KS; HDQ Central Air Defense for AF; Keflavik AFB, Iceland; Hensley Field, Grand Prairie, TX, with a special assignment working with the Dallas Police Dept; Incirlik Air Base, Turkey; Clinton Sherman AFB, Burns Flat, OK; Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC; Thule AFB, Greenland; Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC; Da Nang, Vietnam; Little Rock AFB, Little Rock, AR; and Carswell AFB, Fort Worth, TX. During his service in Kansas City, Noah was assigned to guard President Harry S. Truman, and recevied various service medals.
While active in the miliary, Noah cherished time coaching his sons’ baseball team and was active in several bowling leagues.
After his retirement from the Air Force, Noah retired from Dart Container and Coca-Cola. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, playing softball, and going to the casinos. He loved spending time with his family and pets. He was known as Pops to all. He was known for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, work ethic, and his unwavering support of his loved ones. He never met a stranger and loved sharing stories about his life experiences.
He is survived by sons Noah Taylor Jr., Kenneth (Tami) Taylor, and Billy (Patti) Taylor, daughter Joni Taylor, grandchildren Keisha (Carlos) McGlon, Kelly Phillips, Chad (Vanessa) Taylor, Cory (Christie) Taylor, Jarod (Cate) Halpain, Jeni (Matthew) Pillow, Jeremiah (Simone) Taylor, Natali (Ben) Hanna, Mariah (Shane) Steele, Savannah (Steven) Robertson, Tarrah (Shawn) Lee, Ryan Taylor, Josh (Anna) Taylor and 20 great grandchildren and sisters Conealia “Connie” Taylor Michael, LouDell Taylor Eidson, Barbara Ann Taylor Barry, and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse Taylor, Joseph David “JD” Taylor, sisters Willie Mae Taylor, Estellena “Chick” Taylor Howard, and former spouse Lena Crevier Taylor.
A vistation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. funeral at Fox and Weeks Hodgson Chapel in Savannah, Georgia on March 8, 2025, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life and honor his legacy. Rest in peace, Pops. Your service, love, and kindness will be forever remembered.
Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery with full military honors.
