Celebrating the life of

Dennis Meeks

Passed away on February 27, 2025

Dennis Meeks

Dennis Meeks went home to be with the Jesus, his personal Lord and Savior, on Thursday February 27th, 2025.  Throughout his lifetime, Dennis felt and received much love from his family and many friends.  During his 46 years as an insurance agent, he was blessed to meet many new people and develop many long-term friendships.  His greatest passion was his desire to serve his Lord Jesus by teaching the important spiritual truths of the Bible.  In his journal, Dennis had a legacy card that said that he wanted to be remembered as a person who love God with all his heart, striving to be fully devoted to Him.  To also be known as one who loved and served his family and who loved his neighbor.  Dennis realized that these desires could only be accomplished through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit.  Dennis loved and served his Lord Jesus, in many roles at Compassion Christian Church.

He is survived by his much-loved wife of 54 years, Shaaron, his son Aaron, who Dennis was very proud of Aaron’s wife Liz, his grandchildren, Dylan, Trey and Jayden.  His well known and loved son Dustin, went home to be with Jesus in 2020. Dennis looked forward to his reunion with Dustin.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Compassion Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd.

The Memorial Service to honor and celebrate his life will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025 also at Compassion Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd., Savannah, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassion Christian Church or Spanish Oaks hospice.
