Celebrating the life of

Elaine Wilder

January 13, 1933 - February 17, 2025

Elaine Wilder

Elaine Wilder was welcomed home to be with her Lord on February 17, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on January 13, 1933, Elaine was a loving wife who cherished her husband, a supportive and encouraging Mama, a grandmother to 4 “grands” and their spouses, and great-grandma to her 9 “great-grands”.

Her husband, Jesse, daughters Debbie (Ken) Harrell and Joyce (Chuck) Holt, and step-son, Randy, along with the rest of the family, will miss her, but they are forever grateful for the legacy she has left behind—a legacy built on Elaine’s love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her desire to live for Him and serve Him with her life.

To know Elaine was to love Elaine. And those who were blessed to come in contact with her know this to be true. She was always willing to go above and beyond, never met a stranger (although with her memory, she might re-meet the same “strangers”!), and she was a true prayer warrior. Even when her health kept her from being actively involved at her home church, Bible Baptist, she always asked how she could pray for her church and its ministry, her friends, and her family.

Because they share her faith in Jesus, her husband, Jesse, and her family have the unwavering hope and assurance that they will see her again in Heaven, just as she has now seen her son, Billy Sullivan (d. 2016) and first husband, William Sullivan (d. 1976) who preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be at Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Road, Savannah, Georgia 31404, on Tuesday, February 25, at 10:00 a.m., and the funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m.
