Celebrating the life of
Christopher Paul Lanman
September 15, 1982 - January 06, 2018
Christopher Paul Lanman – 35. Our loving son, Chris, passed away unexpectedly Saturday January 6th at his home in Savannah.
He is survived by his Father Paul, and Mother Sharon, Step-Father Stewart, Grandfather Paul Sr, Grandmother Madeline, plus many Aunts, Uncles and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Brother Zack, Grandfather Roy and Grandmother Cindy.
Chris was born September 15, 1982 in Oklahoma City, OK to Paul and Sharon Lanman.
Chris graduated from Salem High School, and then went to work for his dad’s cable company. After living in Atlanta for several years, he moved to Tybee Island which he absolutely loved.
It is with such great sadness that we mourn the loss of Chris, but need to celebrate the man he was. Chris was someone who brought joy to each person he knew with his contagious smile! He knew what it meant to love his family and friends to the fullest. Chris also knew what it meant to fight for what he felt was right, but had the ability not to take himself too seriously.
Chris was such a free spirit, and we are so thankful to have had him in our lives. He taught us all to live a little more free.
Chris, you will be missed terribly by everyone you touched in your short but very memorable life.
Rest in peace my beautiful boy. I know I will see you again…….
A Memorial Service will be at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour before.
You guys are in my thoughts. I'm so so so sorry.
- Casey Canant, Mcloud, Ok
I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is very painful especially when they are as young as Chris. I can't exactly understand how you feel, but our Heavenly Father does and he will give you the strength to endure. May the wonderful memories you have of Chris bring you comfort and the words found at Isaiah 41:13 where God says he is grasping your right hand, the one saying do not be afraid I will help you during this difficult time.
- S Love, , Ga
My sincere condolences to the family, continue to trust in the promise found at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it says death will be brought to nothing.

While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father return your dear one to you. (John 5:28 & 29). My condolences to your Family.

Laughs by the hundreds of dozens, yeeeaarrss of memories, handfuls of ‘heart to hearts’, and countless lessons both taught and learned through one another - Chris was one of the most vibrant, selfless, compassionate, hilarious, free spirited, and genuine guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. First crossing paths in middle school, I’m forever thankful for the time I was fortunate to call him a friend. My heart hurts knowing we will be without him, but it’s calming to know he was greeted by Ziggy with open arms as soon as he was called Home - brothers and best friends reunited. I can’t help but smile thinking of how that must’ve been for both of them. To Chris, Rest In Peace, my dude. Until we meet again, I’ll forever cherish the times that were had and the memories that were made. You’ll forever be missed, buddy. Fly high. ??

My prayer for you is that you know Chris is safely in our Lord's Hands now. I pray you find peace, comfort, and joy in knowing that. God bless your family, and I pray the Lord comforts you the most, Paul and Sharon. I cannot imagine losing a child, or what you're going thru. I pray you find joy and happiness again, soon.

Chris was such an amazing person. We met in 6th grade. Rode the bus together in middle school. Lived in the same neighborhood. Had the same friends and went to the same parties. I later moved to Fort Stewart and we got to hang out at Tybee together. I remember the last time I saw him at Tybee he was telling my son Max all about the turtles and things at the beach. He was a good person and so funny! One memory comes to mind that makes me smile is in middle school in the bus he got into a heated argument with a guy about if Michelle Phifer was hot or not lol. They almost got into a physical fight over it hahaha. So full of life! I will remember Chris until my last day on this earth. Love and condolences to the family. Chris you are now in heaven with Zach! What a wonderful reunion I bet it was when you two met again!

I am so sorry for your loss. We were in Savannah New Years, and our son Cris Bennett and his wife Cindi talked about your son Chris and shared how they met on Tybee Island. They really loved him, especially after he told Cris "he was old enough to be his Dad!!!" They looked at him as a son. Cris sent me some pictures of him, my heart is breaking?
