Donald Richard Hazen passed away at home on December 27, 2024, at the age of 92.  He was born in Ware, Mass., and lived most of his single life in Belchertown, Mass. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Zabelle Hazen, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He graduated from Belchertown High School in1950, graduated Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree, served 2 years in the U.S. Army, worked for Mass Mutual Life Insurance Co. until he retired in 1992. He was a woodworker and stacked stonewall builder in his spare time, loved mountain climbing and sports.

A service and burial will be held in the spring at Agawan Veterans Cemetery.
