Celebrating the life of
Sharon B. Panch
February 29, 1948 - December 24, 2024
Sharon B. Panch, 76, with her family by her side, died peacefully at Memorial Health University Medical Center on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
Sharon was born on February 29, 1948, to the late Jack H. and Thelda Mosteller Blackburn. Sharon’s family was her passion; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved college football, especially her Tennessee Volunteers. For more than thirty years, Sharon worked as a bookkeeper for her brother-in-law at Savannah Driveline and Hydraulics. Sharon enjoyed Bowling and Bunco. For more than 20 years, she bowled in the Tuesday morning league, and through the years, Sharon met several extraordinary ladies playing Bunco. Sharon was an American Legion Post 184 Ladies Auxiliary member and past treasurer of the American Legion Post 36 Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by a brother, Jack H. Blackburn, Jr., and a sister, Sonya B. Cowart.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Charles “Fred” Panch; daughter, Teresa K. Strickland; son, Jason Charles Panch; granddaughter, Ashley K. Prevatte (Kendall); grandson, Brooks Charles Panch; four great-grandchildren, Ella, Ansley, Troy, and Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
