Debbie Eileen (Collins) Richardson

Debbie Eileen (Collins) Richardson, 73, of Jacksonville, Fl, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024. Born on November 27, 1950, in Gadsden, Alabama, she was the cherished daughter of Grady Everson Collins Sr. and Eileen Rushing, both of whom preceded her in death.

Debbie grew up in Savannah, Georgia, where she cultivated her love for animals, family, and friends. A dedicated nursing professional, she obtained her nursing degree at a young age and spent her life caring for others with compassion and strength. Known for her unwavering spirit, Debbie was a breast cancer survivor and a true fighter in every sense.

She is survived by her loving children, Tammy Eileen Davis of Yulee, Florida, and Brandon Lee Richardson (wife Brianna Richardson) of St. Augustine, Florida, her brother, Grady Everson Collins Jr. (wife Sharon Collins) of Dawsonville, Georgia, as well as her five beloved grandchildren and a variety of pets. Debbie always had a special affection for animals, and dedicated the last several years of her life to fostering kittens. She enjoyed the beach, dancing, and creating lasting memories with her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on November 8th at Fox & Weeks, with a viewing at 11 AM followed by the service at 12 PM. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In addition to flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to your favorite local animal rescue organization.
