GUEST BOOK

Memories of Raja – Raja loved her family, her grandchildren, and her foster failure dog Rabbit. I had the pleasure of walking him on weekday evenings when she juggled work and evening classes at Medgar Evers College. Then there were the Saturday walks to Prospect Park so that he could run off-leash before the 10 a.m. curfew. We talked about our Buddhist practice, discussed her plans to do social work, and the latest happenings. Raja joined my family’s picnics and apple picking excursions with her grandchildren and I tried to catch those moments with my camera. In almost every shot Raja’s closeness and care of her grands was apparent even if she wasn’t physically in the shot. What I loved and will miss is Raja’s quick smile and laughter and that she spoke her mind, shared her feelings and was a kind and caring friend. My family and members from Sunshine District in Brooklyn offer our profound condolences. Fran Forte
