Dr. Tiedemann was kind, thoughtful and Earnest! I worked with him as District Staff Specialist. On my very first day as a DSS, I thought to myself, “Kim what did you get yourself into..! I remember moments later, Ernest called me and said how can I help you. He blocked off half-day from his schedule, encouraged, assisted and counseled me. His kindness and generosity was truly felt and needed, I will always be appreciative for that helpful gesture! May the Lord God continue to comfort strengthen and keep your family!

I am so sadden by your loss of Ernest. He & I were at SHS together for 3 years and were both in the Latin Club together. He was always sincere and serious yet had a slight sense of humor. We later shared responsibilities as Special Education teachers for Savannah-Chatham County School System. He was very devoted to his students and supported improvements for students with disabilities. Mary Ford Parian SHS Class of 1967
