Celebrating the life of
Alice Ammons Moore
February 29, 1932 - September 27, 2024
Alice Ammons Moore, 92, passed away on September 27, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis L (Bud) Moore, Son Dennis Moore Jr, parents and 9 siblings. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Moore and Barbara Moore (husband Charles Frye) 3 grandchildren Kristopher Hughes (wife Ruth) Jennifer Cramer (husband Tommy) and Alexander Frye. She leaves behind 2 great grandchildren many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family including those of the late Charles Woodard of Sylva NC. Alice was born near Forney Creek , NC, which is now part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, to Albert and Nora Ammons She graduated from Swain County HS in Bryson City NC. She raised her family in Clinton TN and worked in the Anderson County TN school system for 27 years as an elementary school secretary. She was a member of the Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church in Knoxville TN before moving to Savannah GA to be near her great grand kids. She was a devoted “Granny” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, traveling with friends and family, and church activities.

I am so sorry to hear about Alice’s passing. Alice had a wonderful sense of humor. She especially loved her class reunions through the years. Alice was kind to all, and our Sunday School class have missed her since she left for Savannah! Our prayers are with your family.
