brenda, im sorry to hear about phil. we both lived on treville ave when we were in grammar school. we were best friends from the third grade until we finished cb greer. my family moved to the country and we still spent some week ends together. i was a grade ahead of him in school and we kind of drifted apart after I started junior high but he will always be considered one of my best friends as we moved through life . I remember one day when he was visiting me when we borrowed sue britts fathers pump up bb gun and we were shooting a target which we had nailed to a telephone pole. some how phil got his hand caught in the pump mechanism of the gun and cut it bad enough to go get stitches. the power company replaced that pole about ten years ago. when they cut the old pole off I asked them to leave about six feet of it in the ground because believe it or not one of those bbs are still embedded in the pole clearly visible. that bb has been there about 67 years. How time flies. cappy pegram
