Celebrating the life of
John "Terry" Harmon
September 08, 1941 - August 09, 2024
John Terrence Harmon, 82, of Okatie, SC, passed away Friday, August 9th, 2024 following a series of heart problems.
The Savannah native was born on September 8th, 1941, to the late John Joseph and Rosemary Burke Harmon. Terry was a longtime resident of Okatie, SC. He graduated from Benedictine Military School Class of ’59. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved being on the water and sharing memories with his classmates marching many years in the Savannah St Patrick’s day parade with his Benedictine alumni.
Surviving are his daughter, Tay Laster (Loran); son, Andrew Harmon; two grandchildren, Blake and Lyndsey Laster; his sister, Rosemary Moore (Trey); nephew Aaron Moore and his fur-baby, Callie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Benedictine Military School of Savannah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 15th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11am at the funeral home, with Father Gabe Cummings officiating. The burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
Kathryn and I are so sorry to see that Terry has passed. Terry was a fun person to be around. We all went to Rio De Janreiro, years ago, together and had a blast! We send our sincere condolences, and pray that God will comfort all of Terry's family.
