Celebrating the life of
Donald Lusk
Passed away on June 13, 2024
Donald Lusk, 78, passed away Thursday June 13, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. He was born February 12, 1946, in Williamsport, PA to the late Edmund and Curtiss Flisak.
After graduating from Savannah High School, Donald enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, Donald became a successful independent insurance agent and opened his business Don Lusk Insurance.
Donald never met a stranger. His smile was contagious, and he made everyone he met laugh. His stories were entertaining, funny and always relatable.
Donald’s passion was his music. In his twenty’s he sang and played the guitar in the band Me, Him and Them which he started with his brother Ronald. In his seventy’s he played the bass in his praise band at First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill. Donald enjoyed skiing in Crested Butte, Colorado, boating with family and friends on Baby Girl (named after his cat), having his weekly breakfast with Joe Baggerly and Emory Clark, and watching his TV.
Donald is survived by his son Stuart (Julie), daughter Stephanie (Tim Donahue), twin brother Ronald (Stephanie), Sister-in-law Donna Flisak, niece Valerie Newton (Brad) and great-niece Brianna Newton. He is preceded in death by his brother Randy Flisak.
A special thank you to Christy & John Baggerly and Stacy & Wayne Browning who treated Donald like family. Having no grandchildren of his own, Donald gave his heart to their children who lovingly called him “Pappy.”
To all his family, friends that were like family, and the countless others he held near and dear, may his footprints left behind forever happily dance in their heart and mind. Although he left this earth too soon, broken and in pain, Donald was welcomed and made whole again by his Heavenly Father on his final journey.
A private celebration of life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Donald’s memory to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Dr., Savannah, GA 31406

Ron, I was shocked and saddened at the loss of Don. Susan had told me that he had been ill, but you never think of this world being complete without some folks, and Don was one of those people. My sympathies to you and Stephanie, and to Don’s wife and children. Sincerely Margaret Reese

Dearest Stephanie, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. Just heard the news. He loved you sooooo much and I know you're missing him terribly. Don and I had many great breakfasts, lunches, dinners, laughs and cries back in the 90s when we became close friends. And as you know, I moved away briefly, returned, got married, and never really reconnected. We saw him out a few times and said a quick hello, but I longed for another 3-hour lunch someday. May God give you comfort in all the days ahead. Your dad was a wonderful man. It was a joy to see you and your mom recently.
