Timothy Day Holder
July 28, 1949 - May 22, 2024
Timothy Day Holder, 74, passed away May 22, 2024, on Tybee Island. He was born July 28, 1949, in Winston Salem, NC, to the late Dwight W. and Monica Day Holder.
Tim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Connie Crews Holder of Halifax, VA, and two sons, Timothy Holder, Jr., of South Carolina, and Andrew Holder of Los Angeles. Also surviving are his sister, Cynthia Grant (Ronald) and grandson, Jacob Holder, all of Winston Salem.
Tim served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Johnson Concrete in Salisbury, NC, and later became president of a division of Unicon Concrete. He also was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Carolina Prestress in Lake City, SC.
He relocated for work to Savannah, GA, in 2008 before retiring there. He loved working on his boat and his race cars.
Tim was a road racing enthusiast and enjoyed racing at Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, GA. Music was his other passion. He was a talented guitarist, having played with popular beach music groups like The Drifters and The Tams.
In accordance with his wishes, Tim's ashes were scattered on Tybee Island.
