Celebrating the life of
Laura Schmitt
September 07, 1956 - May 24, 2024
Born in Minneapolis during the Schmitt birthday week on September 7,1956, and taken home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 24, 2024 (John 14:2-3).
Lolo was a woman devoted to her faith, her family and her friends. She was an independent person and had a passion for her flute and marathons. She was an elite athlete and competed in over 70 marathons. Her highlights were from her seven Boston marathon finishes.
Lolo was quick to share her love for Jesus with everyone she met. She wanted all to know the love of Jesus and the glory of the gospel. She ran the good race.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert P. and Jeanne Pat Schmitt, and survived by Tom (Laura) Schmitt, Peggy Schmitt, and Doug (Ellen) Schmitt and their families, and many cousins and their families.
A service to give God glory for her life will be held at 6:00p.m. Monday, June 17, 2024, at First Baptist Church of the Islands with Rev. Brooks Cail officiating.
