Celebrating the life of
John Jaime
January 09, 1922 - January 30, 2018
John Jaime, 96, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Abercorn Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Kimport, PA son of Hermene and Anna Bugger Jaime. He was a 1940 graduate of Ellworth High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army serving as a signal corpsman during the Pacific Theatre in World War II. Mr. Jaime was retired from Continental Can Company and a former member of Morningside Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church of the Islands where he served as a Deacon. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Daniel Jaime.
Surviving are his wife of 75 years, Norma Groover Jaime of Savannah; children, Geraldine Arakelian (Vartan) of Chocowinity, NC; Paulette Lanier of Savannah; Kathryn Seginack of Savannah; grandchildren, Daniel Arakelian, Brian Arakelian (Carmen), Kristen Adams (Tim), Shannon Bowling (Joe), Traci Trombley (Jay), Jaime Lanier, Andy Seginack, MaryAnne Seginack, John D. Jaime, Jr., Jeffrey Jaime and 13 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors with Rev. Brooks Cail officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
