Bonnie Cook Norman

Bonnie Cook Norman, affectionately known as Nana, passed away on April 23, 2024. She recently enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great children which will be remembered fondly by her family.

Born on October 6, 1940, Bonnie was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She moved to Savannah several years ago to be near her family. Bonnie had a fulfilling career as a computer programmer with General Electric.

Throughout her life, Bonnie was known for her love for her family. She was so very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved gardening, was an avid reader of true crime and entertainment news and once subscribed to the National Enquirer, much to her husband’s dismay.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband James R. Norman and her parents Luther Carl and Helen Fitzpatrick Cook and her brother Carl Thomas Cook.  She is survived by her loving children Kelly (David), Jay (Kevin), and Ashly (Daniel), as well as her grandchildren Blair (Andrew), Ryan (James), Devin (Michael), Madeline (Coulter), and Jason. Bonnie is also survived by several great grandchildren: Amelia, Everly, Callen, Decker, James, Lou, and Val. Bonnie is also survived by two loving sisters, Jean Johnson and Maryhelen Wood, both of Charlotte, NC.
