Frances Mardell Smith Jacobs, age 80, died November 14 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.  The Chatham County native was a homemaker, and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Parish.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bryte Jacobs, Sr., and her parents, Frank and Vansceal Smith.

Surviving are her son, David Jacobs, Jr. (Crystal) of Savannah; a sister, Josephine Nasworthy (Ray) of Savannah; a granddaughter, Peyton Jacobs of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 19 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 19 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
