Frank was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Susan Blount Smith.
He is survived by his brothers David Blount,(Cyndy) Edward Blount of Fort Lauderdale Florida, sisters, Beverly Clark, Peggy Jernigan, and Helen Vinall, (Jack) He is also survived by his daughter Shannon Blount.

I don’t know what to do now that you are gone. You were so special to me. You and David helped Mother raise Susan, Peggy and me. I was always grateful. I told you when you got your cancer that I would be there for you until the end. I hope did a decent job. I will see you again. I love you.

Uncle Frank was the most outspoken person I've known. When I was a boy, Uncle Frank's dog, Dan, bit a man's leg that had pulled up on a motorcycle next door. The man made the mistake of saying he was going to shoot Dan. I thought Uncle Frank and Uncle David would fight over who would fight the motorcycle guy. I wish I had seen more of Uncle Frank, but he left me many good memories.

There are so many things I want to say about Frank. Words are lost on me right now. My heart is filled with sadness and gratitude. When I was a child my brothers filled in where my father failed. I know that there are many times that we would have been homeless and hungry but for them. Frank stepped up and made sure that we were safe. It certainly wasn’t his place but that never stopped him from doing the right thing. If there is a measuring stick for a man, Frank was used to create it. Rest in peace my precious brother. I will love you and miss you for all my days. Until I see you again

I was not even thought of when the stories of my uncle Frank that I hear about all the time now were being done, I’ve known him all my life but I was only in his life throughout his older years. I did the best I could to help my papa make sure he was taken care of when he got in such poor of health. I want to finish this by saying I’ve heard that uncle Frank could get hotheaded with a lot of people but personally that is not true, from what I saw he was a loving person and a giving person. Uncle Frank I’ll see you someday

I am the oldest of the kids, Frank came along 12 months later. I am so glad that David and Helen and Jack were able to try to manage Frank these past months. It was truly an act of love. He will be missed but not forgotten. I have some sweet memories to cherish.
