William Walter Bowers
Passed away on January 18, 2024
William Walter Bowers, born on June 21, 1951, in Washington DC, peacefully passed away on January 18, 2024.
William worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in the early '70s and later at Dunbar armor from 1989 to 2016 where he also was a firearms instructor of the East Coast Division.
William loved spending time with his grandkids and his cat Luci, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and Fox News. Other activities he enjoyed include riding his motorcycle, going on cruises and vacationing at Tybee Island.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Bowers of Savannah, daughter Riann Coto of Pasadena, MD, and grandkids Kylie and Jayson. He is also survived by his cousin Debbie Williams of Columbia, SC, sister-in-law Judy Bowers of Shawneeks, sister-in-law April Kickline of Georgetown, DE, brother-in-law Bob Kickline, grandkids, Kylie Coto and Jayson Coto of Pasadena, MD, son-in-law, Chris Coto, nephew Max Kickline, nephew Dustin Jones of Meritt FC, and nephew Adam Jones of Meritt FC.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on April 6, 2024, at the Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel.
Sorry for your loss Wendy, Bill was a good Friend & a good Co-Worker, Bill will be missed, Bill always loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends, Bill taught me allot at Dunbar, at the Gun Range and on the Armored Trucks, Bill may you RIP Buddy
