Judith Sandhåland Aadland, age 90, passed away on January 9, 2024 from natural causes. A private graveside service was held at Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, GA.

Mrs. Aadland was born October 6, 1933 in the township of Skudenes in Karmøy, Norway.  She immigrated to the United States in 1952 with her husband Egil Aadland and became a citizen in 1960.  She was a resident of New Bedford, MA for 9 years, Foreston, MN for 5 years, Thor and Eagle Grove, IA for 29 years, Shreveport, LA for 18 years, Kissimmee, FL for 11 years, and Savannah, GA for the past 3 months. 

She is predeceased by her husband Egil Aadland.  She is survived by her son, Leif Aadland of Akron, Colorado; three daughters: Maureen Stohlmeyer of Ames, Iowa, Renee Young and husband Mike of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jonita Aadland and husband Duane Wright of Savannah; grandchildren: Chris Aadland, Heidi Larson and husband Thad of Colorado, Rachel Young and husband Jake Lee of Illinois, Ross Young of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren Ava and Chris Larson of Colorado.

Judith was a devoted mother and wife. She was a talented and accomplished artist who enjoyed painting landscapes and portraits. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting, baking, gardening and music. Her charming Norwegian accent was a delight to all who met her.
