Celebrating the life of
Diana Rogers
October 05, 1947 - January 09, 2024
In honoring Diana's memory, let us find solace in the beautiful symphony of her life and the joy she brought to us all. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered.
Diana Rogers, born on October 15, 1947, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Jack R. Rogers and Marion B. Rogers, gracefully departed this world on January 9, 2024, in the enchanting city of Savannah, Georgia. She reunites in eternity with her beloved parents, Jack and Marion Rogers. Diana is survived by her cherished brother, Jack R. Rogers, Jr., and leaves behind a legacy in the hearts of her nephews: Michael C. Rogers (Rachel Rogers), Bryan N. Rogers (Lindsay Rogers), and Brandon T. Rogers.
Oh, what an extraordinary woman Diana was! Her passion for music ignited in her early years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she diligently took piano lessons. A graduate of Nathan Hale High School, she further pursued her love for music at Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU), earning a Bachelor of Music degree. Diana's radiant spirit shone through various pageants, including Miss Tulsa and Miss Oklahoma, where she not only participated but also received accolades, including the title of Miss Congeniality—a fitting honor for those who knew the genuine warmth she exuded.
Diana's journey in the world of music began in New Orleans, where she founded an all-girl band on the iconic Bourbon Street. Her career spanned across the United States, gracing cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and culminating in the vibrant pulse of New York City. She enchanted audiences at esteemed venues such as Nino's, Waldorf, and Helmsley Palace. Her talents transcended borders, reaching international stages in Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. For the past two decades, Savannah, Georgia has been home, and Diana continued to captivate audiences at Suzabelle’s, The Pink House, Vic’s, and La Scala. A SCAD short film released in 2017 showcased her life and time in Savannah, earning a place among the top ten films.
Diana was not only a musical virtuoso but also a fashion icon. Her love for entertaining was evident in her stylish attire, adorned with formal dresses, jewelry, and an array of eccentric hats that became her signature. Her historic home in Savannah was a testament to her eclectic tastes, providing a backdrop for countless gatherings with dear friends.
Diana Rogers was undeniably one-of-a-kind, gifted beyond measure. The void left by her passing is immeasurable, and words cannot adequately convey our grief. Yet, we are grateful for the privilege of sharing a life with her and cherish the indelible memories she leaves behind.
Though Diana's time with us was cut short, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by adoring friends and family. Please join us in celebrating the remarkable life of this special person at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a ceremony at 2:00 pm.
In honoring Diana's memory, let us find solace in the beautiful symphony of her life and the joy she brought to us all. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the charity of your choice in honor of Diana.

Where do I start…she was a very beautiful classy talented lady. She caught my eye/ears some 20 years ago at the Pink House. My husband and I would find time to go listen to her whenever we could. We became really good friends several years ago after we booked a party in her parlor for my MIL’s 80th birthday. Though we were nothing alike, Diana became like family to us. She kept my husband busy fixing things as she did many others. Our time with her will never be forgotten. She was always a joy to be around and so full of life! She is already missed. Love you, Diana.

Diana’s friendship is one I treasured and we were United by our passion for the Great American Song Book and expression of selves through fashion. I met her early in my move from Manhattan to Savannah and she was paramount in my having found the city’s vitality, sophistication and abundance of beauty. We never were at a loss for conversation and while Fiana’s tastes were of an evolved level she never lost her ability to be real and call things as she saw them. I loved this woman and cherish our times spent , be them in a club where she was playing , at her white piano in her parlor or in the jumble of her kitchen or treasure troves of 50’s hat stands that lead to what was a four roomed dressing area upstairs. A legend now and when she was with us here on earth

I am heartbroken beyond words! How do you sum up “Diana”? She was larger than life, a force of nature, pure sunlight, joy and music, with an unparalleled zest for living all rolled into one. She loved all things, most especially the pretty, shinny, glittery, feathery, colorful ones; after all, she was the “middle class Princess”. My sweet Diana, the sun is shinning less brightly down here now that you have left us, but boy are they having a party up in Heaven! Thank you for sharing YOU with all of us in your oh too brief time down here. We are all left sitting here, wishing for just a few more hours of listening to you tickling those ivory keys as masterfully and gracefully as you did. Savannah will never be the same! Shine brightly my sweet and fly high! I love you. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to her brother Jack and her nephews Michael, Bryan and Brandon. May her memory of a life well lived bring you comfort. “I’ll be seeing you in all the old familiar places” today, tomorrow and always. Karin

My sweet dear friend. You’ll be missed by everyone in Savannah but I’ll miss you more. You and I worked together for almost 4 years at La Scala and of course I’m still there. You know how much I love working there. I was very lucky to have you as my friend. We have so many beautiful memories together. From my dad and you singing and playing a duet on your pink piano and you and him reminiscing about times to me and you I swimming in your pool and floating around and having fancy little drinks. I enjoyed taking you to the grocery store when you needed things. I enjoyed taking you Forsyth park so you could set up and sing to the tourists and our own people of Savannah and oh my gosh how I loved you and I putting makeup on together and playing dressup. My son Andrew absolutely adored you and I’m so happy that when ever you needed “muscle around” he was there to help you. He loved you so much and his heart is broken. I also can’t thank you enough for donating your time and helping to Raise money for the fundraiser that the entire city even our mayor came to help with this event that was hosted by Elena, Donald and Jeffrey. The money that was raised helped me pay for my surgery, chemotherapy and medications because treating breast cancer is very expensive. You and I would laugh over the silliest thing. We always have a good time even when we would go to lunch together. I have so many beautiful memories of you ! I will cherish every thing you gave to me. And I remember when the restaurant said you had to many drinks and I would sneak some in for you anyway. I will love you forever and I will miss you. Fly high my beautiful friend, Fly to the moon and keep a lookout all of us. I’ll miss you immensely but I know I’ll see you again when I leave this earth. I’ll love and cherish you for the rest of my e

I had the pleasure of being Diana’s caregiver for several months. She used to call me her caregiver turned friend.I was so in awe of her many accomplishments and travels. So unbelievably talented. Everyday I learned something new about her. What a fascinating life she lead. Thank you Diana, for being so kind to me. I will always remember you.

When you move to Savannah and Diana Rogers is your neighbor, the lore of Savannah becomes reality. We had seen Diana at The Pink House before moving to the neighborhood, so it was indeed a pleasant surprise. Rare is an understatement in describing Diana and there are many distinctive moments we fondly look back on, most of which could only be experienced by being her neighbor. We've enjoyed reading the comments from many here and have to say that the accuracy brings a smile to our faces. Her uniqueness will be missed and never replaced. Rest easy Diana - a big band and vodka salute to you

Dear Diana, I was one of the lucky ones to see you perform at The Olde Pink House many a nights. You treated my daughter, Vivian with such kindness. I will never forget when you had her sit along side you. She sang “American Pie” as you played and helped her with the lyrics. While getting to know you, you invited me to the best party I have (still) ever been to in Savannah. Sabina and I walked in while the piano was going strong. Singing and laughing coming from the parlor. As I walked down the hall there were heaps upon heaps of antique books and china with tags still attached on the floor along the wall….. this was the theme throughout the house. It was a beautiful museum -still alive! The house was open to be explored. We went upstairs and saw racks upon racks of vintage hats. We were in absolute heaven. We each trepidatiously picked one out to wear. When you saw us, Lady Di, you gave us the nod and we knew were were good. We spent the evening donning a new hat at every turn. And each time you saw us, I could tell by the twinkle in your eye, you were harkening back to the memories living in those hats - and at the same time excited to have someone to share your affinity. When I wear my old hats and red lips it always make me think of you…. And always will! When I have parties I always think of your spirit of hospitality! You lived your life out loud and I only hope to do it as beautifully as you have. Rest in Peace Lady Di!

Diana was truly special and made everyone feel special. She remembered everyone's name when they came into the Pink house, or La Scallia or wherever she was playing. She lived a block from me, and I knew her for over 20 years. She will be missed and she is and will remain a legand in Savannah
- Rhondda Netherton, Savannah, GA
Several us would travel from Charlotte NC to Daytona for bike events. We would stop in Savannah and go to Vic’s to see Diana, she called us her Harley friends. She was great.

I miss Diana. I never met her. I shall honor her now. I read that her funeral ceremony was performed on January 13th, 2024. That was the anniversary of my maternal Grandmother's birthday... Florrie Mae Sullivan Meadows, 1910. The anniversary of my Mother's birthday is today, February 1st, 1935... Lillian Lucille Meadows Chambers. I am Tisha Dorissa Chambers Robinson. I was born on St. Patrick's Day... March 17th, 1971. I live right outside of Savannah, in Pooler. I am an eccentric portrait artist, and I have had a gallery at City Market in Savannah for 13 years. I am still there. My wedding rehearsal dinner was at The Pink House... so many similarities with her... I wish she were here to teach me to play piano.... I cannot play by ear yet, but I am gonna give that a go! Thank you Diana for the inspiration. I love you, Diana Rogers...now and forever, Amen. .... Blessings to any family members and all friends that loved her so well. All the best, Tisha Robinson
