James (Jimmy) Vaughn, 67, of Savannah, passed away, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born September 17,1956, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, son of Eugene Junior Vaughn and Annie Jeanette Saunders Vaughn. He worked in the scrap and metal business for 46 years and spent the last four years working side by side with his son opening their own business and fulfilling his passion for driving trucks. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and mentor to many, Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 49 years, Frances Hall Vaughn, sons and daughters-in-law, James “Edward” Vaughn Jr. (Chrissy) and John Vaughn (Nicky), grandchildren, Toby Vaughn, Holden “Devon” Mallard (Kaitlin), Morgan Vaughn (Trevor), Meghan Vaughn, Johnathon “Chase” Vaughn (Kelsey), Violet Vaughn, numerous honorary grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one more on the way.    

A visitation will be from 11:30 until 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 14, 2024, followed by a 1:00 pm Celebration of Life at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. The burial will be in Old Anderson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, Georgia.
