Celebrating the life of
Leon Timothy Blake
Passed away on December 13, 2023
To the family and friends of Leon, my condolences. When I think of kindness, sincerity, and what God should represent in our lives, I think of Leon. Always smiling, while living his beautiful life of solitude with the support of Carolyn and her wonderful family. We often think that family is about a biological issue, but some of our greatest family members and friends are the ones connected to us spiritually and by the grace of God. Leon, rest in peace, and I am so glad that God honored me by allowing our paths to cross. To Carolyn and family, God bless you all. To God be all the glory this Christmas season. Leon, you will be greatly missed!!! ❤️

I did not know Mr. Blake, I am designing a permanent historical display about his mother and father here in Estherville, IA. If any that left comments would like to offer any information about him I would certainly include it. Leon Timothy was one of two sons of Leon Casey and Bessie Evelyn (Moore) Blake. "Tim" was born and raised here in Estherville, Iowa and his family lived her until they passed. They were a highly respected family in Estherville. In Bessie's 1972 writing in a local newspaper she spoke of her two sons. "I struggle to enlighten my sons to music, poetry, reading, and our Lord."
