Fox & Weeks supports Savannah AMBCUS Bowlapalooza 2014!

Fox & Weeks is proud to have been a sponsor at the 3rd annual Savannah AMBUCS Celebrity Bowlapalooza 2014 on October 11 at Savannah Lanes. The event generated more than $80,000 for Savannah AMBUCS and every team had a blast bowling together! Fox & Weeks vice president Matt Weeks was a celebrity bowler, and Matt's team joined dozens of teams for a fun filled Saturday morning meeting new friends and supporting a wonderful cause. Savannah AMBUCS history with the special needs community in Savannah began with the Trustee’s School in 1955.In 1965 the Savannah Chapter of AMBUCS established a bowling league for special needs children. The AMBUCS Exceptional Bowling League was started initially for 7-16 year olds. As the bowlers aged, the league increased its age limits and ultimately became an adult league. The league currently bowls on Saturdays from September to May.
AMBUCS is a non-profit service organization consisting of a diverse group of men and women who are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people disabilities. Local Savannah AMBUCS members fulfill our organization’s mission by providing funding for weekly adult & monthly adolescent bowling leagues, providing AmTryke® therapeutic tricycles to individuals unable to operate a traditional bike and awarding college scholarships for therapy degree programs.
