I am sorry for your loss. Death is painful to all of us. However God's word the Bible always offers encouragement. A scripture I find comforting is Isaiah 25:8. There Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. That will be very satisfying! I hope this thought has been comforting to you. May positive thoughts fill you hearts and minds as you endure this difficult time.

Sincere condolences to the family of Imogene (MawMaw), a wonderful lady who made a lasting impression on and who touched so many people along her life’s journey. She was an amazing lady and will be so terribly missed by those who knew and loved her. We are sorry for your loss.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Praying for Gods strength and comfort over the days and weeks ahead. Please take comfort in the fact that Ms. Imogene is truly in a better place, happy and free of pain. Let all your wonderful family memories help you to remember her with smiles and not tears. Brian has talked of his MawMaw at work many times. I know she was an amazing woman. Hugs to you all.

Imogene NesSmith Hendrix, age 93, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017. Our beloved Mother was a dedicated hairdresser in Savannah for over 50 years. During this time, she also managed to raise her four children and was completely devoted to her family and her profession. After retirement, she spent most of her free time pursuing her passion for gardening.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Wanda) Hendrix, Connie Metts, Vickie (Terry) Lee and Jan (Bobby) Davis.  Imogene was blessed to also have nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held at Bonaventure Cemetery on Friday, October 6th, 11:30 AM.  The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside. The family respectfully requests that flowers in remembrance may be sent to Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. All other donations should be sent to Hospice Savannah.
