Virginia E. “Ginger” Lanier, 62, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Savannah on February 8, 2018

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Theda Williams, and a brother, Greg Williams.

She is survived by the family she dearly loved; son, Blake Lanier (Karina) and grandson, Benjamin of Tampa, Florida, daughter, Hannah Lanier of Tybee Island, sister, Donna Dickson (Chuck) of Savannah and niece, Lindsey Dickson of Savannah.

Ginger was born and raised in Savannah where she graduated from Jenkins High School. She retired from ITPEU Health and Welfare after 23 years of service.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.

A private service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Ginger’s friends and extended family for the special visits and kindness shown during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
