My deepest sympathy for your loss. May the God who comforts us in All our trials be with your Family during this time of sorrow.

Sincerely, Nitha & Family , ,

My condolences to the Theriault family. Always remember God can give you the endurance and the comfort you need to get you through hard times like these. He lovingly provided his word, the Bible, so that we might have hope (Romans 15:4,5). Romans 12:12 reminds us to "Rejoice in the hope. Endure under tribulation. Persevere in prayer".

Neyle Colquitt Theriault, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  Born July 12, 1931, in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Mabelle Habersham Colquitt Theriault and Raoul Omer Napoleon Theriault, of Savannah, GA.

A much-loved husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Theriault was a foreign law specialist for the U.S. Government, working primarily in national security operations.  His exposure to the intelligence arena began during WWII when he worked for tips as an underage errand boy at an overseas OSS installation.  He was educated in the Republic of Panama and transferred to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a Law degree.  A small-bore rifle champion, he was Captain of the UGA Varsity rifle team.  On completion of the Army ROTC program he was commissioned a regular officer of the U.S. Marine Corps and served with the Fleet Marine Force.  He was a Korean War Veteran.

Mr. Theriault subsequently joined the U.S. Federal Government and served in Latin America and the Far East. He had keen interest in technical aspects of information collection and management, was an inventor, a registered safesmith and locksmith, and a licensed amateur radio operator. He was awarded two Medals of Honor by a foreign government in recognition of his overseas service, and received a Career Intelligence Medal.  Following retirement from Federal service, he established a national security consultancy and for two decades provided support to multidisciplinary operations and international initiatives of the Intelligence Community.

He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Georgia.

Mr. Theriault is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret, three daughters and their husbands, and seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raoul Napoleon (“Terry”) Theriault of Denver, CO.

A private burial is planned at Bonaventure Cemetery, Greenwich section.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Diocese of Savannah’s Office of Hispanic Ministry, Catholic Pastoral Center, 2170 East Victory Drive, Savannah, GA 31404, or the Cathedral Heritage Endowment at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 222 East Harris Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
