Condolences to all the family. Aunt Tony was a beautiful person inside and out. Gene and I enjoyed our visits with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all. God bless!

Barbara Muller Tromly, Hampton, VA

We just learned of your Mom's death and we send you all our love. Visiting with her after our SVA reunion (2015)was the highlight of our trip. Your Mom was an angel and she gave more love to others than most people ever dream of having. Summers at your Tybee home reading with ya'll has always been a favorite memory of mine. Your Mom and Dad were such a grand example of a happy couple. Thank you for sharing them with us. May you all find comfort in the many wonderful memories you shared.

Dear Muller Family, we were saddened to learn of Toni's death and then happy knowing she would be reunited with Joe and other loved family and friends. I remember her beautiful smile and laugh, the sweet way she treated everyone, her love for her family, church, and city, her quiet efficiency, and her many accomplishments. It was an honor to get to know her. I hope she and Pachi and Monsi are laughing as they smile down upon us. Francisco & Monsi Arteaga also send their love and condolences. Richard and Barbara Davis

Margaret “Tony” Mary Robinson Muller died peacefully in her Ardsley Park home on Saturday, September 30, 2017, after an evening of reciting the Rosary surrounded by her family.

She was born in Savannah, GA on August 13, 1923 to John D. Robinson and Helen Augusta Merkle Robinson. Most of her friends called her “Tony,” a nickname given by her father in her childhood.

She was the devoted wife of Joseph C. Muller for 62 years, until his death in 2008, and a dedicated mother to her seven children. She was famous for her baked hams, which she delivered to friends in times of mourning and celebration. Tony loved swimming in the ocean at Tybee well into her 80’s while summering at her Tybee cottage which she enjoyed since the 1930’s. She was loved by many for her cheerful and patient demeanor and her willingness to help anyone in need.

Tony attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from The Pape School in 1941. She was a graduate of Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY.

She dedicated her life to God and was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church for almost 70 years. She was an active member in the Legion of Mary for 50 years, regularly visiting shut-ins across the city. In 2008, the parish named Tony Volunteer of the Year, and she was awarded the Bishop Gartland Service Award by the Diocese of Savannah in 2010.

Tony was active in the Girl Scout Council of Savannah, leading Troop 42 at Blessed Sacrament for years and serving as vice president of the council.

Tony supported Joe in all of his endeavors, helping to build his insurance and real estate agency as vice president of Joseph C. Muller, Inc. She was president of the Exchangette Club of Savannah.

She enjoyed her time with friends, including The Sewing Circle (at which more socializing than sewing was accomplished) and Angie Oelschig's swimming group.

She was a member of the Coastal Heritage Society, Historic Savannah Foundation, Telfair Museums, Georgia Historical Society, Ardsley Park Garden Club, and Ardsley Park Neighborhood Association. She and Joe enjoyed the Savannah Yacht Club for more than 50 years.

She is survived by Margaret H. Muller, Joseph C. Muller, Jr. (Terese), John D. R. Muller, James W. Muller (Leigh), Merkle R. Muller (Jan), Peter D. Muller (Lisa), Anne M. Guidera (Tim), 20 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

The family is indebted to her dedicated team of caregivers, Vickie, Linda, Diane, Pat, Gloria, and many others.

Visitation will be held at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, followed by the Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, Blessed Sacrament School, St. Vincent’s Academy, or Benedictine Military School.
