Judith Farrell is lovely name. And she did lovely things in her lifetime, one of my favorite would be how she was involved in her community like helping with child abuse, I can be confident that God is pleased with her efforts and her heart. A lot of people wonder is there any life after death or any meaning, some people believe that everyone goes to heaven, others believe people go to hell and that God takes there lives but there is comfort in the scripture at job 34:12 where it says "For a certainty, God does not act wickedly; The almighty does not pervert justice. On your spare time take a look at jw.org it will take you to your own bible and it answers l9fes big questions like why do we die? We can be sure of Jehovah's promises.

Judith Mullis Farrell (Judy), 71 died October 26, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on February 13, 1946 in Savannah, Georgia to William Frederick Mullis and Willene Harvey Mullis.  She graduated from Savannah High in 1964 and pursued a degree in Education from the University of Georgia.

Judy started her career working with Parent and Child Development Services.  She then served as the Director of Public Relations for the Girl Scouts Council.  Judy’s claim to fame soon followed as a morning talk show host for Eleven Live on WTOC.  She was recognized throughout Savannah for years to come.  After her involvement in his political campaign, Lindsey Thomas appointed Judy to be his Administrative Aide in his Savannah office. In this role, Judy was the constituent’s advocate, helping them cut through the governmental red tape.

Judy served her community in various ways over the years.  Most recently, she served on the Board of Directors for CASA.  Earlier in her career, she cofounded Lifeline for Children to help victims of child abuse and neglect in Chatham County.  She was active with Girl Scouts of Savannah, Night in Old Savannah, Leadership Savannah, Leadership Georgia, United Way and more.

Judy was the ultimate hostess until her very last day.  With a pound cake on the counter and a freezer full of shrimp, boiled peanuts, tetrazzini, and brownies she was ready for every occasion. From Monday to Friday, she was impeccably dressed from head to toe, but on the weekends you’d find her spending the day in her favorite crabbing spot.  When she wasn’t entertaining, you could find her watching one of her favorite old black and white movies.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Charles Farrell; her children Leigh Farrell Heimes (Chuck) of Savannah, GA, Erin Belford of Hillsborough, NC, R. Scott Belford of Savannah, GA and Jeff Farrell of Atlanta, GA; her four grandchildren, Lucy and Natalie Lyons and Stella and Charlie Heimes; her sisters, Diane Herrin and Margie Richards (Claude) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Frederick Mullis Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Savannah Golf Club on November 3, 2017 from 3-5pm.  The family would like to thank Island Hospice THA Group and her caregivers, Sandra, Keil and Keisha.

The family requests donations be made to Island Hospice THA Group 3 West Perry Street Savannah, GA 31401, www.islandhospice.com, CASA, 428 Bull St # 205, Savannah, GA 31401, www.savannahcasa.org, the Humane Society for Great Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Dr, Savannah, GA 31406 www.humansocietysav.org or a charity of your choice.
