My condolences to the family. May you find comfort in the scripture at Revelation 21:4 and the website jw. org.

Niecy, Savannah, GA

I'm sorry for your loss. Death is very painful to all of us. However Jehovah is the supreme comforter and offers it through his word The Bible. 1Corinthians 15:26 brings comfort in knowing that soon God's kingdom will put an end to death. I hope this scripture and many like it help you to endure this difficult time

Harry Ernest “Ernie” Safley, of Pembroke, GA, passed peacefully away on July 10, 2018, at the age of 71.

Ernie was born and bred in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where his heart always remained. His greatest loves were his wife of 41 years, his two children, horses, and those Virginia mountains. A man with a big heart, he would go out of his way to help others. He was a connoisseur of good food, good stories, and good company. As a history buff, he held volumes of knowledge about battlefields, priding himself on the horses’ hoofprints he left on many of them. A man of adventure, he lived his life to the fullest, pushing limits…especially speed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa; his son, Charlie; his daughter, Jessica; his sisters, Carolyn Deane and Melissa Payton; his brother, James Safley; and nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

He will be greatly missed.
