Ralph and I were saddened to learn of Kitty's passing. It is difficult to grasp the idea that she is no longer on this planet and has joined her beloved Mal. We fondly recall many visits to Portland Oregon over many years. We met both Mal and Kitty and her family over 30 years ago. Kitty was in-love with her grandchildren and she was sure to convey that love to all who knew her. I will never forget baking with Kitty and sharing laughter simultaneously. We always looked forward to her visits! Anthony and Kristy, may you find comfort in knowing that she lived life to the fullest, and when it was her time, she went her way. Love to all.

Karen Henkhaus, Portland Oregon,

May the friends and family of Ms. Cook find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). We can also rest assured that God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.' (Isaiah 25:8) https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/about-life-and-death/

Anthony and Kristi, Carolyn and I were sadden to see that Kitty has passed away. Heaven will never be the same. We had so much fun with her and Mall through the years, wow, where does the time go? She had the greatest laugh. I will always remember her. God Bless.

Bob White jr, Greensboro,

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Anthony and Kristi at the passing of their remarkable mother. A very kind and sweet lady with endless energy and love for her family. I concur with Catherine Futrell that she baked unbelievable pastries, and it was a good thing for Mal that Tom Jones never knocked on their front door! Blessings to you all!

Robert Buechner and Family, Gulf Breeze, FL

What a great personality Catherine is! For the few years that I knew her, it has always been a pleasure to be around her. She'll be missed.

I am so heart broken to hear of the loss of Kitty. She was such a wonderful lady. Always so sincere and thoughtful . She always had a smile on her face and would always make me laugh uncontrollably. I will always cherish the memories I have of Kitty and Mal with my family and their close friends. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to have visited with her recently. Rest in Peace Kitty. My thoughts and prayers are with you Anthony, Christy and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Anthony, thinking of you in the loss of your Mom. I remember her so well at Hancock Day School, as an incredible teacher and as a wonderful mother to you. My thoughts are with you.

Wendy Hester Ciccodicola, Cranbury, NJ

Kitty 'lit up a room'. She knew how to make you feel 'special'. She was always a blessing - a friend from first grade to the graduating Class of 1947 and beyond.

Joan Graham Hester Byrd, Savannah, GA

My heart is so heavy with sorrow for the Cook family for their loss. Mrs. Cook was a great lady who was very kind and great to work for along with Mr.Cook. I remember them calling into the office on Saturdays to ask "How many did we sell?" The thing was Mr. Cook would call then Mrs. Cook would call soon after. They both gave me a chance in 2010 and I'm thankful for that opportunity to have worked for the both of them. She will be truly be missed as well I miss Mr. Cook. Frances Brooks

Heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Julie and I are so sorry for your loss. Mal and Catherine showered everyone they encountered with love and laughter unlike few I have ever known. John 3:16

Jerry Sorrels, Marietta , GA

Anna and I were saddened at the passing of Mal and equally as sad with the passing of Catherine!!! These were two exceptional people who sincerely cared about everyone and were the kindness I have even known. During our many times we spent together, there was a tremendous amount of laughter and they were always so extremely positive. Anna and I will miss them greatly. My recent visit with Catherine was when I took her to the Pink House in Savannah to dinner. I bought her a dozen pink roses and when she opened the door, she began to cry but they were tears of joy. She told me that Mal had taken her to the Pink house right after they married and she was grateful for the roses and the chance to go once again to a place which was full of happy memories. There is sorrow in our hearts but smiles as we know she is now with the good Lord and once again with Mal who was the love of her life!!!! Wayne and Anna

I'm sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose someone we love. The Bible gives a sure hope of a resurrection. The scripture found at Isaiah 25:8 tells us that one day soon God will put an end to death. Please visit jw.org for more comforting information on this subject.

How sorry the Alfieris family was to hear of the very unexpected death of Miss Kitty. We say unexpected, because there seemed to be something almost indestructible about her. Miss Kitty sought to live life to the fullest and she did so in a way that was entirely her own. She was a loyal and life-long friend to us and she will always be remembered- As all that knew and loved her will attest - Catherine Cook was truly one of a kind.

Julia, Joseph, Patrice and Ann Alfieris, Savannah , GA

I worked with Mrs. Cook at Savannah High School for several years. She was always smiling and a joy to greet each morning when she came in the office. Saw her a few years later after she left the school over at Dr. Cooks' office where she helped out some and that wonderful smile and greeting was still there. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Julia M. Dawes, Savannah, ga

My sincere condolences to the family, sorry for the loss of your loved one. The Bible tells us at Isaiah 25:8 that death soon will be done away for good. Please continue to trust in that promise.

Anthony and Chrissy, I loved your momma so much and I'm so sorry for your loss.
