My condolences to the Layman family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise that "there is going to be a resurrection." (Acts 24:15) Therefore, we will see our loved ones again. During the days to come, may Mrs. Layman's sweet memories fill your hearts with joy and peace.

Dorothy, Dacula Ga,

Since death was not originally God's purpose for mankind, it is very painful to deal with. We have a wonderful hope as stated at John 5: 28&29.

My sincere condolences to the family, sorry for your loss. Please continue to rely on our heavenly Father who promises to help us get through whatever trial we are going through (2 Cor. 1:3,4). By relying on Jehovah we will continue to endure.

My condolences to the family. May you find comfort in the scripture at Revelation 21:4 where Jehovah God promises to do away with death forever. We look forward to this wonderful hope in the near future. For more information and encouragement please visit jw.org.

Niecy, jw.org,

Our beloved wife and mother Barbara Layman (76) passed away on October 13, 2018 at her home of 40 years surrounded by her husband and two daughters.

She was born in Queens, NY where she was a competitive diver at Jones Beach.  Barbara later met her husband; Wes and they were married for 56 years.  Together they lived a full life, travelling with the military and their three children.  Their final move was from Hawaii to Savannah, GA in 1978 where they chose to settle down and build a home. Barbara was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church and volunteered at their school for many years.  She was an avid card shark who enjoyed playing Honolulu Rummy with her family through her final days.  Barbara loved her family dearly and took pride in raising her children and grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Wes Layman; her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and David Penick; her daughter and son-in-law Tracey and Jeff McBride; her son Wesley Layman; her grandchildren Megan Uritescu, Patrick and Holly McBride; her sister Kathleen Milligan of St. Paul MN and her brother Frederick Woertman of San Jose, CA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

There will be a graveside funeral service for family and friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Greenwich Village, Bonaventure Cemetery.
