Dianne, 72, peacefully entered God’s Kingdom on Saturday, June 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Dianne was born in Augusta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Ralph G. Smith and Hilda Q. Smith. Dianne moved to Savannah her senior year of high school. She graduated from Jenkins High School in 1967 and later attended Armstrong State College. In February 1969, Dianne married her one true love, Warren Youmans, after he returned from service in the US Army in Vietnam. Dianne and Warren moved to Washington DC where she worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. They eventually returned to Savannah, Georgia where Dianne worked for Union Camp Cooperation and Erickson Associates as an Executive Secretary for many years. In 1977, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Evelyn Brigitte.

Dianne is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Warren Youmans.

She is survived by her daughter, Brigitte Lawlor (Mike); two precious grandchildren, Nathan and Charlie; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan; step- great grandchildren, Monroe and Vera; brothers, Ralph Smith Jr. (Carolyn), Mike Smith (Dell), Jeff Smith (Kay); God-daughter, Amanda Ellis (Brett); sisters-in-law, Poullain Mullin (Hugh) and Ruth Smith (the late David Smith). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Also, not to be forgotten, her loyal German Shepherd, Orbital.

Dianne was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Good Neighbor Sunday School Class and a member of the Silver Nuggets’ Senior Group.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by a service at 11am. The burial will be immediately following at Greenwich Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Smith Jr., Mike Smith, Jeff Smith, Randy Smith, Jeremy Zottola and Ron Miller.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dianne’s memory to The American Cancer Society, The Mayo Clinic (www.mayoclinic.org/development) or Immanuel Baptist Church.
