Donald A. Roth

Donald A. Roth passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 84.

Don was born on September 4, 1937 in Englewood, New Jersey to John Charles Roth and Alma Hannell Roth. Don graduated from Saint Cecilia's High School in Engelwood, NJ, and received a B.S. degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.  Don retired from a long career with Standard & Poor's in 1997.

Don and his wife Judy, who predeceased him in 2017, moved to The Landings in Savannah, GA in 1998. Don was an avid outdoorsman who loved golf, fishing, and hunting in his earlier years.

He was predeceased by his wife Judy of 54 years, his parents, and siblings. Don is survived by his many nieces and nephews upon whom he had a lasting and positive impact during their formative years and in to adulthood.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.

I was so sorry to read about Don’s passing. My husband, Patrick and I tried to take Don out to dinner several times after Judy’s death. He had 24 hour care after that. Judy and I were in a golf group together for many years. My condolences to the family.

A candle has been lit!

I heard this news today and was very sad. Don was my inspiration at Standard & Poor's where he took me under his wing while guiding and taught me about investing when I was in my 20s. I am so glad I was able to speak with him just over a year ago but sad that I never made the trip out to visit him. He was a brilliant human being and he will never be forgotten.
