Pat Kleinpeter

Charles Patrick “Pat” Kleinpeter, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Pat was born in White Plains, NY on March 26, 1941 to Patrick Waddell Kleinpeter and Beatrice Youmans Kleinpeter. He had one brother, William “Bill” Leslie Kleinpeter. As a young boy, he played football, basketball, and baseball for the Tiger Club and took dance lessons from Marylin Youmans School of Dance. He graduated from Savannah High School in 1959 and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia Southern College.

In 1966, Pat married Anita Louise Roberts, also of Savannah, GA. They had 2 children, Jane and Michael. In addition to serving in the National Guard after college, Pat worked in the shipping industry for Strachan Shipping and Mitsui for many years and later completed his career at AAA. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Pat loved his 5 grandchildren dearly and rarely missed an opportunity to catch their ball games and dance recitals. In addition to watching his grandkids do what they love, he enjoyed watching classic movies, Atlanta Braves, and Georgia Bulldogs.

Pat leaves behind his brother William Kleinpeter (Kathy), daughter Jane Yaklin (Kenny), son Michael Kleinpeter (Ruth), grandsons Hunter Yaklin, Logan Yaklin, Carter Kleinpeter, Bennett Kleinpeter, and granddaughter Lacey Yaklin, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michael, I just want to say that when my dad was hanging in the balance his last few months, I was taken back by your dad’s kindness sitting with him and as they regaled stories of their youth. It meant a lot to him I’m sure and to Peter and I. He was a good man . He will be missed.

My old aunt was contacted via text message by a person claiming to be “Jiahao.” Over several months, following Jiahao’s instructions, she purchased crypto assets on an exchange and transferred them to Vexjex.cc where Jiahao claimed they would trade crypto assets for a profit. At some point, my aunt was contacted by the website, which claimed that another person deposited money into the her account, so it froze her account as it appeared to involve money laundering. In order to unfreeze the account, the website instructed my poor aunt to deposit another $450,000. After that, she was unable to access any of her funds which had amounted to more than $1.5 million. Three weeks later, the website is no longer in operation and that’s when she opened up to me for help since I’m in the tech industry. My friend recommended CyberPunk Programmers, an organization that helps scam victims to recover their funds. I did my research beforehand and found that they have been doing a good job at it over the years, I got their contact email from their website (cyberpunkers . org) and they were so keen with the case. All told, they only needed 2 days to complete the entire transfer of $1.5 million back to my aunt.
